40 ml butter
40 ml cake flour
500 ml milk
1 onion, finely chopped
10 ml oil
2 cans (185 g each) Ocean King tuna in brine, drained
410 g canned asparagus pieces, drained
285 g canned button mushrooms, drained salt and freshly ground black pepper toast, crust removed (one slice per person)
Italian parsley to garnish
Preperation Time: 5-10min
Melt the butter over moderate heat, add the flour and stir for one minute. Add the milk and stir over moderate heat until a thin white sauce forms. Fry the onion in the oil until soft and add to the white sauce along with the tuna, asparagus and mushrooms. Add salt and pepper to taste and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Serve on toast, season with black pepper and garnish with Italian parsley.
